Body painting
Jia is so OC about order and cleanliness. You know how OC? When we were in Disneyland, every time we would go to the washroom for a nappy change, she would get a wipe and while I would be changing her nappy, she would be wiping the walls of the washroom. Dirty daw kasi. When we are grocery shopping, she would ask me to put back the cans/boxes that have fallen from the shelves. She could not stand it if she has dirt in her hands. She would ask me to wipe it off, pronto!
When we went to Bora, she hated walking in the sand. As in she would be walking normally if we were in a path but she would stop about 5 inches from the sand path because she knew her shoes would be filled with sand. She hated to sit on the beach. She would be okay to play with sand castles as long as she was sitting on a sarong.
Hindi naman ako concerned pa super but I know I have to address this eventually. Hindi kasi pwedeng ganun. She has to be able to stand different textures and be able to withstand being dirty even for a short time. This is different from being messy ha. We teach her to clean up after herself. Like after playing, she has to be the one to pack away her toys and books. Kelangan talaga siya and she does it willingly naman so wala naman ako problem dun. Funny lang kasi ayaw niya talaga madumihan.
For art time today, I was initially planning to do foot painting (you know, you step on a puddle of paint and then walk on a big piece of paper) kaya lang kuripot me, nanghinayang na may sirain na medyas, Nanghinayang din naman ako gumamit ng washable paint kasi mahal. Ending namin, body painting!
I bought a face painting kit a couple of months back but never had the opportunity to use it. This morning, I told Jia that we would be painting each other’s body (Ayoko gamitin sa face kasi baka mag-cause ng irritation eh.) and as expected Jia absolutely refused to have her body painted! Hahaha! As in patapos na kami tinanong ko pa siya, ayaw niya pa rin. She finally asked to be painted after I told her we were done with art time so I had to tell her na tomorrow na lang. So ako lang ang naging canvas. LOL! We had fun though and most importantly, Jia didn’t ask to be wiped clean until after our activity! Yey!
